Prawn Toast

These taste so much better than a shop bought version - and they aren’t as tricky as you think! Great for adults too as a side for a Thai curry!

  • 150g raw prawns cleaned
  • 1 glove garlic
  • 1tsp freshly grated ginger
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 3/4 slice white crustless bread
  • 2 spring onions
  • Sesame seeds
  • A little oil for frying

Add the prawns, garlic, ginger, egg white and soy sauce to a blender and blitz to a paste. Stir through sliced spring onions. Spread a layer of prawn mix on top of the bread. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on to a plate and press the bread prawn side down onto the seeds to form a topping. Heat a little oil on a pan and fry and fry each slice (non prawn side first) for about 3 mins, flip and cook for the same time on the other side. Slice in to triangles and serve!
